If you're a Thai-lover, you must try Sweet Siam Thai Bistro in the Lenexa Shopping Plaza. It's one of the best Thai places I've eaten at in Kansas City.
Beyond having excellent food, Sweet Siam has great service and excellent specials. Most of their lunch dishes are $7! I go there over lunch and get in and out in under 45 minutes. The Shrimp Pad Thai is my favorite.
All the flavors and textures mix together perfectly. A hint of peanut, some sweet and spicy seasoning, and the shrimp all work well together. If you need more heat....
The chili flakes are my favorite but don't underestimate their HEAT. I got a little too much chili and it looked like I got lip injections (the swelling went down a short time later).
I had to get a shot of the ceiling, it's so cool!
Sweet Siam Thai Bistro is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Check it out, go easy on the chili, and prepare yourself for a THAIriffic meal.
